With the string of recent tragedies all too close to home, the approach of Independence Day takes on a profound significance. The Harbor Hills community joins The Villages and all Americans in solidarity, to protect and preserve our fundamental belief in freedom.
Friend, neighbor and patriot John Bircher is Director of Public Relations for the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was a past commander of the Lady Lake chapter and travels the world bringing awareness to the needs of our veterans. Today, John reminds us of the words of President Ronald Reagan, who asked that we ‘celebrate the things that unite us.’ ‘With heart and hand,’ Reagan continued, ‘we pledge ourselves…to the cause of human freedom, the cause that has given light to this land and hope to the world.’
In celebration of our indomitable American spirit, all members are invited to the Harbor Hills 4th of July celebration. Choose golf plus lunch or lunch only to enjoy the All American Cookout on the balcony of our beautiful clubhouse. Call 352-753-7000 for details.
Have you been following the Harbor Hills’ weekly golf show, ‘Playing From The Tips’? I was in the audience last week for the taping and learned a lot from the guest, Bill Rowland. Bill is the CEO of Energy Medical, a Summerfield health center. The center offers a unique non-drug, non-invasive therapy to combat the fatigue and pain we active Seniors often experience. Watch this show and others at ‘Playing From The Tips.com’. Club members and the public are invited to join us in the clubhouse for a front row seat every Thursday at 6-7PM.
Reminder! Harbor Hills Kids Camp runs from July 11-15th. Golf and tennis clinics, pool games and crafts are all part of this special week! Contact Kim Smith at 352-753-7000.
Remember to extend a hand to those around us and lift them up. As Seniors with our wealth of experience, we should spread our love, joy and strength to everyone.
