Harbor Hills Ladies Charity

On behalf of the Harbor Hills Ladies Charity, a hearty thank you to the residents and employees of Harbor Hills for your support and generosity of food and monetary donations for the Lady Lake Christian Food Pantry.

I am pleased to tell you that just over 700 pantry items were received and $700 was raised from our Food Drive! This will help make a huge difference in the lives of both adults and children who desperately need assistance.

Again, many thanks and I look forward to your continued support of our next food drive April 23-25!

Ladies Charity Kick Off

Harbor Hills Ladies CharityPrincess Diana once said, ‘Nothing brings me more happiness than trying to help the most vulnerable people in society. It is a goal and an essential part of my life – a kind of destiny. Whoever is in distress can call on me. I will come running wherever they are.’

Diana could have easily been speaking of our beloved friend and neighbor Lois Benning. Lois passed away on May 14th, 2016. She was a long-time member of the Ladies Charity and gave endlessly of her time and boundless energy. Lois is in our hearts and minds as the Harbor Hills Ladies Charity kicks off the season October 24th with their annual brunch. All Harbor Hills women are invited.

The Harbor Hills Ladies Charity has a long history of helping local causes in a big way. A remarkable accomplishment was achieved last year as this hardworking group raised more than $27,000 for worthy local causes. The Harbor Hills Ladies Charity has no overhead. All money raised goes directly to organizations in our community, either by check or actual purchases of needed items. The Christian Food pantry, the Community Medical center, The Haven, Fruitland Park School, the Villages Elementary School and Lake Hills School are only a few of the local organizations receiving their proceeds. These contributions have made a big difference in the lives of so many people in need.

The Ladies Charity Annual Holiday Golf Tournament is on Sunday, December 4th and the public is invited! Mark your calendars for the 24th year of this major event. Golf members, social members and non-members are all welcome and greatly appreciated. For those non-golfers, consider a dinner-only evening.

If you have questions about the Charity, please contact the new president, Missey Sackett at email: misseysackett@hotmail.com. Let’s make this the best season yet!
