THE HARBOR HILLS MILITARY MEMORIAL BY NIKKI HOFFMAN

HARBOR HILLS MILITARY MEMORIAL PARK

Seven flags wave proudly at the Harbor Hills Military Memorial overlooking the picturesque 16th green. Our American flag stands at the forefront of the memorial. The remaining flags represent the branches of the U.S. armed forces: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and the newly formed Space Force.

To help pay for the continued costs of maintenance and upgrades, The Friends of The Veterans’ Park will host a musical comedy dinner show at Harbor Hills Country Club on Thursday, March 21, from 5 to 9 pm. A Night With Jimmy Keys promises to deliver laughs and fun. Born in England and a student of classical piano, Keys has created a variety show filled with comedy, Broadway songs and visual musical impressions. The cost of the dinner and show is $60 per person inclusive. All proceeds support improvements to our park. Community participation is vital. Contact Shirle Mabie at 561-351-0699 or shirlemabie@gmail.com for ticket information.

One of the most exciting events in Harbor Hills is the Member-Member Stroke Play Tournament. It is a three-day competition to be played this Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The format is alternate shot, best ball, and aggregate. The tournament concludes with dinner on Sunday. Contact Tom Leimberger at 352-753-7711 to sign up.

Easter Sunday falls on March 31st. Celebrating the season of hope and new beginnings is especially important this year. Harbor Hills invites you to enjoy an exceptional Easter Brunch complete with a hot buffet, a carving station, and (my favorite) irresistible desserts. Seating is limited. Call 352-753-7000 for reservations.
