Recent weeks have been about connecting with our inner strength. As Americans, we are well known for our resilience and resolve. Although our everyday lifestyle has changed dramatically, we are making the necessary adjustments and getting on with life. During the month of March, golf at Harbor Hills Country Club was in full swing with small modifications. We take separate carts and leave the flag stick in while continuing to enjoy the game.
The Men’s Club Championship was a three-day event played from a mix of gold, blue and white tees. This year’s winner is Chris Delzio who beat out Dr. Kevin Chun and Mike Latch by six strokes. The Senior Net Championship was played from the green tees. The senior champion is Frank Altman, who won by six strokes over Chape Chapin.
The popular President’s Cup finished out the March calendar for men’s golf at Harbor Hills. The overall low net champion is Mike Mick. The flight winners are Ron Nisun, Cliff Murphy and Rico Albanesi. Congratulations to our 2020 Ladies Golf Club Champions Nancy Weiss, gross winner and Lisa Ragan, net winner. Way to go, Ladies!
Kudos to friend and neighbor Bill Bogert who shot 79, one stroke under his age. Lee Bowers had a hole in one on the Par 3, Number 13. Congratulations to both!
