Our Northern neighbors have arrived! They joined us for a spectacular New Year’s Eve gala at Harbor Hills Country Club. Special thanks to our social committee, Alma Smith, Lin McLeod and Judy Warren, who created the glitz and glamour of the evening.

What is the secret to sticking to our New Year’s resolutions? According to the newest research, February 1 is the day we call it quits! One in seven Americans never truly believe they’ll adhere to their resolutions. When trying to create big changes, have some fun! Infusing bite-sized goals with positivity increases our chances of maintaining a healthy change.

Speaking of keys to success, Harbor Hills is excited to host the TNXL Pro-Am Charity Tournament on January 14. With the slogan, “Building futures through baseball,” founder Brian Martinez explains, “Our goal is to make sure our players are prepared to succeed in life and not only on the baseball field.” TNXL offers a high school alternative that includes a 4-day per week training program leading to college baseball scholarships and a professional future in the sport. The academy features an extensive indoor facility and baseball fields in Ocoee, Florida. Tournament proceeds help disadvantaged youngsters with tuition and associated costs.

On Tournament Day, mixed pro-am foursomes will enjoy dinner after the round. The public is encouraged to participate. Hearty congratulations to 2023 TNXL graduate Nick Rich on his commitment to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he will be playing baseball.
