The Harbor Hills Garden & Women’s Club is a popular social club that meets on the first Friday of each month from October through May. Club members sponsor an interesting variety of programs and speakers. Annual dues are $20 and membership is open to all members of the Harbor Hills Country Club.
On May 3rd, the Harbor Hills Garden & Women’s Club is hosting a unique event titled ‘A Very Garden Wedding.’ Historian Leigh Anne Brown will transport us through time, sharing stories with her nostalgic array of wedding dresses. The oldest gown in her collection dates back to the 1860’s. Leigh Anne began collecting in the mid-1990’s. She merges her knowledge of history with her background as a wedding planner into this unusual fashion event. “We look at the distinctive women – the Victorian, the flapper, Rosie the Riveter,” she said. “We are the product of the generations that have come before us.” The presentation includes lunch at the picturesque Harbor Hills clubhouse. The deadline for registration is April 26th. For information, members can contact Event Director Barb Tarinelli, email@example.com.
This event concludes another successful season of the Harbor Hills Garden & Women’s Club. Appreciation is extended to Judy Monin, President; Shirle Mabie, Vice President; Frankie Smith and members of the 2018-2019 Board of Directors and other volunteers. They have worked hard to create another outstanding season!
