HARBOR HILLS LADIES CHARITY LUNCHEON BY NIKKI HOFFMAN

The Harbor Hills Ladies Charity has a long history of helping local causes in a big way. In 1993, a group of Harbor Hills women sponsored a golf tournament to raise funds for local charities. Since then, the desire to make a difference has grown over the years.

Fundraising events include a spectacular holiday golf tournament and dinner, a Host and Toast gathering of friends, food drives, a 50/50 online raffle, and an outlandish Kentucky Derby party. This hard-working group has raised funds for Lake Hills School, Forward Paths Foundation, Fruitland Park Elementary and Villages Elementary of Lady Lake, Community Medical Center, The Haven, Beacon College, and the Christian Food Pantry. Contributions are changing lives. No wonder our Harbor Hills Ladies Charity received the 2024 Lake County Community Service Volunteer Award in May. Charity President Susan Hritz and Vice President Janet White accepted the award.

The new season will kick off with the Annual Charity Luncheon on Monday, October 28th, at 10 a.m. at Harbor Hills Country Club. All ladies residing in Harbor Hills are invited to attend. Join us to learn what plans the charity has for another outstanding year. If you are new to our community, it’s an ideal time to meet your neighbors. Would you consider bringing new socks and underwear for children ages five through twelve? We’re calling it the Socks ‘n Undies Drive, and as always, your efforts are appreciated. The items will be donated to The Villages Elementary and Fruitland Park Elementary.

Save The Date of December 1st for our 32nd Annual Holiday Golf Tournament and Dinner! It’s for a great cause. You do not need to be a club member to play golf or attend dinner. More details will be provided in upcoming columns. Let’s work together, have fun, and make a significant difference for so many
