THE HARBOR HILLS LADIES CHARITY WINS COUNTY AWARD BY NIKKI HOFFMAN
The amazing women of the Harbor Hills Ladies Charity make a significant difference in our community through their hard work and compassion for others. The funds they raise support local organizations such as the Lake Hills School, Forward Paths Foundation, Fruitland Park and The Villages Elementary, Community Medical Care Center, The Haven, Beacon College, and the Christian Food Pantry. Fundraising events include a holiday golf tournament and dinner, a Host and Toast gathering of friends, food drives, a unique online 50/50 raffle, and an outlandish Kentucky Derby party. Our contributions are truly changing lives. Not surprisingly, a special county organization has taken notice.
Lake 100 is a member organization that fosters growth in Lake County, provides resources for local businesses, and supports public infrastructure projects. The organization is strongly committed to advancing economic development in the county and is a key resource in our local community. Last month, local businesses, organizations, and individuals were recognized at Lake 100’s 35th Annual Community Service Awards Banquet.
Our own Harbor Hills Ladies Charity was honored to receive the 2024 Lake County Community Service Volunteer of the Year Award. Charity President Susan Hritz and Vice President Janet White accepted the award. Congressman Daniel Webster and Representatives Taylor Yarkosky and Keith Truenow wrote congratulatory letters expressing their appreciation for the charity’s significant impact on the community. Well done, Ladies! Many thanks for your leadership, hard work and caring hearts.
