CELEBRATE SPRING AT HARBOR HILLS BY NIKKI HOFFMAN
CELEBRATE SPRING AT HARBOR HILLS
The month of March always feels special. Colorful flowers, fresh cool air, and fun are all facets of springtime in Central Florida. It’s the season of new beginnings, rebirth, and growth at all ages.
Women’s History Month is observed during this celebratory month. Notable women have left an indelible mark in science, social justice, the arts, and leadership. We stand on the shoulders of such visionaries as Hedy Lamar, Amelia Earhart, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Maya Angelou, Rosa Parks, and Katharine Graham. These and an abundance of influential women have made positive and lasting changes in our world. Friend Frankie Smith hosts an excellent Facebook page called Sisters of Suffrage which highlights the early achievements of women in history.
Another long-standing and always exciting tradition is our Harbor Hills Ladies Golf Association Member-Member Tournament. The first-place winners in each of the six flights were: Flight 1 - Terry Delcamp and Terri Winefordner, Flight 2 - Julie Held and Sue Rice, Flight 3 - Judy Warren and Nancy Flood, Flight 4 - Linda Reyome and Janice Johnson, Flight 5 - Leslie Nisun and Billie Neese and Flight 6 - Bridget Templeton and Carol Langan. Well played, ladies, and congrats to all!
Ready to fill the rest of your March calendar with fun and camaraderie? Join us in the Griffinview Lounge for Mimosa Monday, March 11; Monday Funday, March 18; Fish Fryday, March 22; and Meet A Neighbor, Bring A Neighbor, March 25.
