HARBOR HILLS COUNTRY CLUB WELCOMES 2024 BY NIKKI HOFFMAN
Harbor Hills Country Club welcomes 2024 with an extraordinary evening. The theme is “Back To The Future,” and you are invited! After hors d’oeuvres at 7 p.m., partygoers will enjoy an extravagant dinner in the ballroom at 8:30 p.m. Rocking the dance floor will be Super Freak, Central Florida’s premier 80’s tribute band. The event is open to the public. Call 352-753-7000 for reservations.
The underserved community is on our minds, especially during the holidays. The first of two food drives sponsored by our Harbor Hills Ladies Charity will be held January 26-28. Chairperson Sue Rice and Co-chair Linda Roark need your help to replenish the shelves of the Lady Lake Christian Food Pantry, a ministry of North Lake Presbyterian Church. Donations can be dropped off at the Pro Shop. Pickup is available. Email Sue at hsusanrice@embarqmail.com.
Residents led the effort to provide deployed U.S. military personnel with a welcome taste of home. The 2023 Treat The Troops drive resulted in 143 boxes (8 dozen each) or 13,728 cookies! A spectacular group of “cookie ladies” led by Rosann Cochran, express their sincere appreciation to everyone who helped.
The Claret Junior Golf Tour will hold the year’s final tournament and fundraiser at Harbor Hills on Saturday, December 30th. It is the only junior tour in Florida that gives young golfers scholarship awards to play year-round tournament golf for free. Don’t miss Paul McNeill, who will play his magnificent Highland bagpipes at the awards ceremony! Contact the Pro Shop or register online at www.claretjuniortour.com.
