Residents led the effort to provide deployed U.S. military personnel with a welcome taste of home in time for the holidays. The 2024 Treat The Troops drive once again exceeded our goal with a record number of 169 boxes (eight dozen each) or 16,224 cookies! The “cookie ladies,” led by Rosann Cochran, expressed their sincere appreciation to everyone who helped. Special thanks to the many hard workers in various roles, including baking, packing, label printing, note writing, monetary donations, and offering homes for freezer space and drop-off locations. Special mention goes to Faith Giguere, Kim Holman, and the Busy Bakers from The Villages for working to increase donations and the local American Legion Auxiliary Unit 347 for their $1,000 donation. Rosann explains this is “truly a team effort, and the TTT team has around 275 helpers from Harbor Hills, The Villages, and Love’s Landing.” We can achieve extraordinary things through collaboration and shared purpose. Thank you, All!
