OUR SOCIAL CALENDAR IS IN FULL SWING IN HARBOR HILLS BY NIKKI HOFFMAN

Our Northern neighbors have arrived! They joined us for a spectacular New Year’s Eve gala at Harbor Hills Country Club. Special thanks to the social committee, which authentically recreated our theme of celebration on the island of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil.

If gratitude is great, then paying it forward is even better.  The Harbor Hills Ladies Charity kicks off the New Year, with the first of two food drives from January 24th to the 26th. Chairperson Sue Rice needs your help replenishing the shelves of the Christian Food Pantry of Lady Lake. All nonperishable food items, soaps, paper products, pet food, and monetary donations are gratefully accepted. Donations can be dropped off at the Pro Shop. Email Sue at hsusanrice@embarqmail.com.

The Harbor Hills calendar is in full swing, with events for club members, residents, and the public. Tomorrow is Member Mingling Monday. On Friday, it’s Fish Fryday! Join us in the lounge on both nights at 5 PM. Come see the classic cars at Harbor Hills on Sunday, January 19th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hot rods, customs, muscle cars, antiques, and specialty vehicles will be on display.

You are invited to Harbor Hills Country Club to participate in the 11th Annual Winter Golf Tournament on Sunday, January 26th, sponsored by the Italian-American Club. It is a four-person scramble with a 1 p.m. shotgun start and lots of old-time Italian joy. Cash prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place teams in regular and fun flights. After the tournament, an authentic Italian dinner will be served. A 50/50 drawing, silent auction, and raffle are part of the fun. The inclusive price is $60 for full golf members, $85 for the public, and $38 for dinner only. Sign up at the Pro Shop by January 17. Contact Tom Leimberger at 352-753-771 or Joe Cervoni at jcervoni@comcast.net.
